Discover Life in America will develop a model for research in biodiversity. DLIA will use this knowledge to develop and disseminate information to encourage the discovery, understanding, preservation, and enjoyment of natural resources.

OVER 900 New Species to Science and Counting!
Discover Life in America and the Smokies ATBI just reached over 900 new species to science and over 7,100 new species for the Park. This amazing project continues to build momentum and gain attention from around the world.
DLIA / ATBI has new website!
The Discover Life in America - Great Smoky Mountain National Park All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory has a new look! The website has been moved to Drupal, an open source content management system, which allows new designs and functionality for our website.
